Earth Day Every Day

This Friday is Earth Day, but we started celebrating it a little early at Jam Time this week. We stamped the mural above with toilet paper rolls:

We also made some paintings on recycled brown paper shopping bags. Want to art along with us?

You’ll need:

Brown paper bags, oil pastels or crayons, and watercolor painting supplies. I like using liquid watercolors.

Step 1. Cut the bottom off your paper bag, and cut up the side seams, making two sheets of brown paper, each with a handle on top.

Step 2. Color with oil pastels first.

Step 3. Paint over it with watercolors! Watch your drawing shine right through the paint!

When it’s dry, you can use that handle to hang your painting on the wall! Voila!
